Therapy for Addiction in Texas and Kentucky

If a substance has taken control of your life,
I’m here to help!

If you are reading this page, you may be looking for answers to how you can get free from your addiction to alcohol or drugs. Maybe you don’t know if you have a problem with alcohol or drugs, but you are starting to wonder (see self-tests below). Perhaps life is beginning to feel unmanageable, or maybe it is entirely out of control due to your drinking or drug use.

Some of you have landed on this page because you are in recovery, but you know that you still need support. You may need to continue the great work you did with your counselor in residential or IOP. Or maybe you need to work on other issues contributing to your substance use disorder (SUD).

If you found this page because you are looking to find help for your loved one struggling with addiction, you too may need support. It is common for the family and friends of someone with a SUD to develop feelings of depression, anxiety, and hopelessness.

Here’s how I can help:

Substance use disorder evaluations and referrals

If you are unsure whether you have a problem with alcohol or drugs, you are not alone.  Most people don’t realize their use has become problematic until someone questions them or their lives start to become unmanageable.  Through an online counseling interview and assessments, we can discover together if your use of substances has become problematic. I can then recommend the level of care based on your needs and provide referrals if necessary. If you are only at risk for developing an alcohol or drug problem, we can begin meeting regularly to create a plan for sobriety or low-risk use.

I also provide online formal substance use evaluations (court-ordered or employment required). Evaluations consist of online assessments, at least two online sessions, one interview with a family member or friend, and one written report. (No drug testing).

Counseling for family and friends of a person struggling with a substance use disorder

I provide clinical counseling services to address the many issues faced by those who support someone struggling with a SUD.  Some of these issues include codependency, depression, anxiety, and anger. I can offer guidance, support, education, and, most importantly, hope while you navigate your journey to healing.

Outpatient Substance Use
Disorder Counseling

I provide outpatient counseling for people who are diagnosed with a substance use disorder. I am familiar with many modalities of recovery and can adjust based on what works for you. I support clients who have stepped down from higher levels of care, such as residential or IOP.  I do not provide an IOP at this time. I believe there are many roads to recovery.  I honor and support each of my clients regardless of the road they choose to take.
